There’s not a word that is said to have destroyed a man in the past. Therefore, no single word in existence can destroy you.

In Vol.1&2, i talked briefly about the upbringing and nurturing of the individual child in the right way. Teaching them the basics of that which when followed carefully, will yield a peaceful world for us all to live in. In the same note, I’d like to throw some lights on “Respect and Control of Emotions

Quite a large number of people, especially in Nigeria misunderstand the true meaning of Respect. The ideal fact behind this, started long ago in the era of our ancestors. During the Slave Trade, women were majorly seen as properties or achievements, and these species of being “humans” were mostly acquired by the rich, strong, and prominent members of the society and Men especially were acquired mainly to till the soil and work in the mines for their masters. This practice destroyed many lives and gave birth to Racism, of which the whole world is suffering from it today.

The notion of being better than the other was birthed during the era of slavery, which gave rise to the discrimination of the “Dark Skinned People” and as a result, the African man or the Dark Skinned People are seen as peasants and savages. Reflecting on this today is solely because after the 20th century where a lot of people benefited from the Slave Trade, most of these people developed a character relating to discrimination and lack of compassion.

The most valuable thing on mother-earth is “a human being” and until we realize that, we won’t know how carefully and nicely we are supposed to treat each other. The important message here is, respect has nothing to do with age, if you respect an individual, there’s a 90% chance of reciprocity. In more ways than one, this theory has been proven to be true. No one is truly mad to the extent of repaying evil with good, because it takes a lot of planning for anyone to hurt the other person. Therefore, reciprocity is mostly a default response in behaviors, actions and characters. So, by default, you get politeness in return for being polite.

Whether or not, he/she is your maid, they deserve as much respect as you do, because from the biology of human formation, there’s no such thing as a higher class human. There are only mammals which are supposed to be higher than the normal animals, because we have the ability to stand upright and think properly. So, it is advised that with love and care, we’d have a serene environment and a peaceful relationship with one another.

Furthermore, aggression leads to interference in the perfect understanding of an individual into a state of being anxious and hypersensitive, thereby leading to behavioral changes and alteration in character. This in the long run, gives the person a different perception and justification for certain traits of harshness and anxiety. Which later in the future leads to inferiority complex, jealousy, hatred, depression, hypertension e.t.c…
